About our products

Sustainability

We take our responsibility to contribute to a sustainable future. Sustainability is at the heart of our brand. From materials to transport, packaging materials, long-term partnerships and timeless design. It is the foundation for everything we do.

Our promise

We want to make a product that is as sustainable as possible, which is less and less harmful to the environment. Timeless items that last a long time. Qualitative products on which a lot of time is spent designing a good fit and finding the right fabric quality. This results in clothing that can be worn with pleasure for many years. It is important to us to be a responsible and social company. We stand for good and fair working conditions throughout our production and distribution process. We work on that every day. We see this as a continuous improvement process and continue to take steps in this.

Eco friendly

In 2021 75% of our cotton is organic
Circular

In 2022, we will launch the first products made entirely from recycled King Louie items.

No Hazardous Chemicals

We have an active policy of eliminating hazardous chemicals from our supply chain. REACH and POP is European legislation that describes the limits to which companies must adhere, with regard to the use of chemical substances. The result is an RSL (Restricted Substances List), which we make mandatory for all our manufacturers. In many cases, our RSL goes further than the legal requirements. The independent and globally operating Bureau VERITAS randomly checks whether our suppliers comply with the RSL requirements.

Sustainability is a continuous process

Sustainability does not stop with the raw materials of clothing: it’s a continuous process in all aspects. We examine all the steps of our production and distribution process and look for improvements.

We also examine shipping and packaging materials. We are currently testing a new shipping packaging made from recyclable materials and hope to introduce it shortly. In the Netherlands customers can choose for sustainable delivery with a bicycle courier. Delivery with a bicycle courier is safe, just as fast as regular mail and good for the environment.
